Product development lies very close to innovation, when products are concerned. But it's very well possible that
innovations do not reach a level beyond that of a product component.

Innovations that do reach beyond the level of product component go through the full design process and are developed
into full products. DNAI either exploits these products on its own accord or tries to sell them to other companies
that may be interested in the product.
